We are here on commission.  We have a job to do more than what takes place at Lighthouse on Sundays and Wednesdays.  We must have an outward vision.

Each week between twenty and thirty teens and adults go out into the surrounding communities to speak to people about the Lord Jesus Christ and to hand out Gospel literature. These Gospel teams, sent out from our church each week, invite people to ride our buses on Sundays and present the Gospel to people, some hearing the Gospel for the first time.

Lighthouse Baptist Church was planted at 2581 Northwestern Pike in 1972. For over fifty years, the mission work has continued.  We must never turn inward. We must always reach outward to a lost and hurting community that needs the Lord.

Once a month, we set one evening aside to emphasize each part of the Great Commission. Over seventy people attend this event on our campus for Gospel witnessing, missionary encouragement, and discipleship.  There are many opportunities for you to be involved in the Great Commission.

The Lord Jesus said that He would build His church.  It’s not your church or the pastor’s church.  It’s God’s church.  If we are faithful witnesses, the Lord will draw people to Him.  If you would like to be a part of these weekly Gospel Teams that go out every week, please contact the church office, and someone can help you.  The Gospel Teams go out on Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 9:30 a.m.
